Club Ice Sessions  will be on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM in two sessions (8:00 - 8:45 and 8:45 - 9:30). Club Ice will be in the Rust Arena.

There are many changes to our procedures to ensure a safe skating experience. We will be following all of the University of Delaware COVID-19 procedures, so if you have attended a zoom meeting and have skated at UD since January, you are familiar with them. If you have not returned but are looking forward to Club Ice, please read the Policies and Procedures below.
Prior to Arrival, Please fill out the following forms:

  1. Daily Health Screening Assesment Form - Skater & Parent must Complete! You will be required to show your results to the ice arena check-in staff upon entering the building. The screening must be completed every day prior to arrival.
  2. Code of Conduct Form - Skater and Parent must complete! Under group/organization please add UDFSC.
  3. Waiver FormUnder group/organization please add UDFSC.
  4. Parking Pass Form - Not required on Sundays, but if you intend to skate any other day, such as Test sessions or HP sessions, registration is required.

Pre-registration is required for coaches

  • Coaches must sign up for their teaching slots, including the names of the skaters they will be teaching. Spots will be reserved for those skaters with scheduled lessons.
  • Please email Jerry: Santoferrara@aol.com to reserve your teaching spots each week by the previous Saturday at 2:00 PM.
  • Please email ASAP to register for sessions in order to guarantee your teaching spot.
  • Skaters without lessons may skate on a first come first serve basis.

Club Ice Fees and Ticket Purchase

  • Ten Session passes - $100 *(previously purchased passes will be accepted)
  • Walk-on single tickets - $12 per session
  • No half sessions at this time.
  • Cash, Checks or 10 session passes are accepted. Please have the exact amount of cash, if possible.
UD Club Ice Policies and Procedures

  • Upon entering the building, everyone must adhere to all signage, traffic flow, and designated zones.
  • Masks must be worn prior to entering the facility and at ALL times inside the facility.
  • Social distancing must be observed at ALL times.
  • One parent will be allowed to accompany minor skaters. They must stay in their designated seat in the stands during the session. The parent may assist their skater in the skater's zone at the beginning and conclusion of the session. No other spectators or siblings will be allowed in.
  • Upon check-in in the lobby of the Rust Ice Arena, skaters, coaches and parents will be assigned a zone. Skaters, coaches and parents MUST remain in their assigned zone at all times when not on the ice. Social distancing must be followed within the arena. You may change skates, warm up and leave your belongings in this designated area.
  • Upon completion of the skating session/practice, all participants and coaches have 15 minutes to exit the building following the designated exit.
  • Music can be played from iphones only, not from the music box.
  • All skater's personal items must be kept in their zones, except for their phones for music.
  • No locker rooms will be available
  • No Rust Arena second floor access, including the weight room, ballet room, lift area, lounge or spinner. All warm ups must be completed outside or in your designated zone.
  • Skaters must bring their own, labeled water bottle. No sharing of water bottles is permitted. Water bottle filling stations will be allowed but water fountains will not be accessible.
  • Only pole harness may be used as a training aide. No other training aids are allowed on the ice. University of Delaware harness will not be used at this time
  • Parents of skaters under the age of 18 will sign their skater in and out at the check-in table in the lobby.
  • Prior to and after the sessions, the staff will clean the facility and designated zones prior to the next scheduled sessions. Everyone must exit the facility at this time.
  • Walk-ins will be accepted until the session limit of 20 skaters is reached.

Club Ice Cancellations for Inclement Weather
When the University of Delaware is closed for inclement weather, Club Ice is canceled.  If the rink is  open and weather is questionable, please 
call the UDFSC phone, 302-831-4686.   A message will be posted if Club Ice is canceled due to to weather.  
We will try to post  one or more hours prior to the start of Club Ice.
Coaches are Required to have the following paperwork to coach on the UDFSC Club Ice:
- Coach's Card
and any or all of the following if the coach's card is not updated:
- Coach's Insurance
- USFSA Membership
- PSA Membership
- Background check through USFSA

As a coach, it is your responsibility to have the proper documentation with you at all times. The membership year is July 1st-June 30th, so all paperwork must be updated to reflect the membership year.

ANY COACH WHO HAS NOT SUBMITTED THE PROPER PAPERWORK AND DOES NOT HAVE IT AVAILABLE TO SHOW THE MONITOR WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COACH ON THE CLUB SESSION. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
NOTE:  ALL GUEST COACHES WHO WISH TO COACH ON CLUB ICE SESSIONS MUST SHOW:
1)  Current CER card (proof of Insurance)
2)  Current USFS Membership
